The primary school education is the first stage of formal education after preschool, and one of the most prominent problems facing the primary education is lack of infrastructure which creates poor learning environment. It’s against this backdrop that the Federal Lawmaker, Prof Steve Azaiki, after facilitating the six classroom block project at Bebelebiri 2 primary school, decided to facilitate a 12 classroom block project at the St. Peter Primary School, Yenagoa, in order to give the pupils a conducive learning environment and enhance educational growth in the state. The Lawmaker reiterates that “education is the most important resource for human development and it’s the pivot on which other developmental strides rotate” and all hands must be on deck to tackle the challenges facing education in our society.
Recall that the Yenagoa born lawmaker had recently sponsored two Bills titled a “Bill for an Act to Establish a Federal College of Creative Arts and Innovative Enterprise in Yenagoa, 2022″ which had its first reading on March 23, 2022 and “A Bill for an Act to Amend the Compulsory Universal Basic Education Act, 2004, to provide for Equitable Access to ICT Facilities, Learning and Training for Pupils and for Related Matters, 2022” was also given first reading at the House of Representatives on March 22, 2022.
